It is suggested that a person needs to drink, on a daily basis, at least enough ounces of water to equal one half of their body weight expressed in ounces not pounds (not converted - just expressed that way!!). So if a woman weighs 150 lbs, then she should drink 75 ounces of water a day!
Here are some tips to make sure you can satisfy that requirement:
Tip #1 - Drink water first thing in the morning - this corrects dehydration produced during sleep.
Tip #2 - Drink 8 - 16 ou. of water 30 minutes before each meal - this prepares the digestive tract and contributes to the feeling of fullness
Tip #3 - Drink 2 1/2 hours after your last meal - this completes digestion
Tip #4 - Drink before exercising - that way you'll have water available for creating sweat
Tip #5 - Drinking water at room temperature is recommended, so fill a container of water that equals the ounces you need to drink a day and drink all day from that container - that way you'll know for sure that you've consumed the recommended amount.
Tip #6 - Drink only purified water
DRINK ANYTIME YOU ARE THIRSTY - EVEN DURING MEALS!!!
